Nazareth Hospital, located in the North of Israel, faces continuous sirens and frequent missile threats. Recently, a missile fragment struck the ER area, shattering glass, but thankfully causing no harm. 

Due to the recent escalation at the northern borders, the hospital has been instructed to reduce admissions and operate only in protected areas, slashing the capacity to only 50 beds, serving the immediate population of approx. 350,000 residents. These beds are the only protected admission beds in the Nazareth area. 

Despite the great efforts made by staff, this shortage has created significant challenges, especially as preparations are underway for winter, a season that traditionally brings a surge of admissions among the elderly. 

To combat this shortage Nazareth Hospital is converting 500 sqm of Secure Storage into a Temporary Ward. By transforming 500 square meters (5,382 square feet) of protected storage space, they can add 40–50 additional vital beds, nearly doubling the current capacity. 

The structure is already in place, but the hospital needs the help of NPI’s friends and supporters to complete it. The estimated cost for the necessary completion is $1.5 million.
