The Nazareth Hospital and the broader Nazareth community have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospital has auffered significant financial losses due to the temporary closure of the pediatric surgical and internal medicine wards to create 60 intensive-care beds for COVID-19 patients. The Hospital’s staff face many challenges as they adjust to new work assignments and schedules and also experience anxiety about their own health and that of their loved ones.

The hospital has created two special funds in response to the pandemic:

1. COVID-19 Practical Support Fund: this fund will address practical needs and hardships faced by hospital staff and patients. The fund will provide financial assistance, emergency food purchases
   or other kinds of support for those is desperate need.
2. COVID-19 Capital Development Fund: this fund is designated for new and improved Emergency Room facilities. The aim is to grow a $5 million fund that will be matched by the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Your support of these special funds will help the Nazareth Hospital to recover from the tumult created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
